Hey there, was just wondering if there were any chess fans on here.
If so, add me to msn, i should be getting my chess board soon from the haddley school for the blind.
I am taking the beginning chess course.
Thanks,
Xena

Sure. I'll play you via quicknote or private mail (depending how long you like your games to go). Or if you want we can play on the boards, but I'd rather not. I suck and everyone will laugh at me.

Now I wish I had a chess board. I might have to get one, but I suck at chess.

I just learned how. Are there electronic chess boards for the blind? If there are, How and where do you get them?

There's winboard from Freedom Scientific, but I can't seem to get it to download. Pluss I heard it's not that good.

It's okay, but it won't do fancy multiplayer internet chess. The best way is just to play via msn or email, and either have your own board or keep track of the game in your head.

Is there an easy way to learn it? I went onto a kids' chess site, but it was still kind of over my head. I'd love it if Harry Potter's Wizard's Chess was a real game, hehe.

Ummm. It's easier if someone can set the men up for you, or show you how the coordinate system works on the board so that you have a physical picture to work with. If not, get winboard and look at it. Then you just need to know how each man can move (I can write it out if people want) and you can play (not well, but you've got the rules).

you could always set up a virtual ches board using an excel spreadsheet.
